Friend, the body has the flimsiest hard drive
The heart all too fickle
Giving and taking from the wrong people
The brain unique as that one cell sickle.
I wonder how they work together,
Such maddening chaos
The mind in crazy scenario synthesis
The antagonistic rest ridding the excess
We always blame the heart for craving excitement
For clouding our better judgement
But, the mind is the less sane
Always making up things,
And just as quickly convincing the rest of the team out of it,
For making the body clean after it’s mishaps
Being the incident and the solution
Keeping us complacent without question
Allying with time and that damned Le Chatelier
So, now look how easily we take things for granted,
How magic passes us by as a soon to be eradicated outlier
Only to drop back to numbness,
To a panel beat chassis.
It’s a messed up system,
A beast, a dictator ,
Oh the idea of homeostasis!
